Dear All,

I am pleased to inform you about the Mountain Festival being planned by  "Mussoorie Writers" from November 2-4, 2012 at the Woodstock School, Mussoorie.

The Himalayan Environment Trust is one of the sponsors of this festival.

The aspect which makes this Mountain Festival unique is the number of mountain related events being planned during the festival.

The planned events include :

1. Talks by several well known speakers.
2.  Mountain Photography Exhibition.
3.  Mountain Food Festival.
4.  A Half Marathon.
5.  Short walks around Mussoorie.
6.  Mountain Movie Screenings.
7.  Release of a "Reader" on nature writing put together by Mussorie Writers.

The guiding force behind this event is well known author Steven Alter who has packed together series of activities which should be of interest to mountain lovers.
