Ahead of any other Palestinian website Ramzy Baroud's Palestine Chronicle continues to promote zionist propaganda pieces by Uri Avnery, the top Israeli zionist impostor.Avnery's latest piece is titled,BoycottLaw : It Can Happen Here (see : http://www.palestinechronicle.com/view_article_details.php?id=16984). As usual for Baroud, the Palestinian promoter of zionist impostors, he has no reservation, meaning that he fully endorses Avnery's zionist propaganda in that piece !
Avnery begins his zionist propaganda piece by presenting two basic zionist propaganda lies he calls (zionist) miracles as follows :
"Years ago I said that there are but two miracles in Israel: the Hebrew language and democracy. Hebrew had been a dead language for many generations, more or less like Latin, when it was still used in the Catholic church. Then, suddenly, concurrent with the emergence of Zionism (but independently) it sprang back to life."
Avnery's basic assumption in this, as in his previous zionist propaganda pieces, is that there is a "Jewish nation" , the language of which is Hebrew, and the "homeland" of which is Palestine (Zion, Eretz Israel). These are the basic zionist propaganda lies, and as a fanatical zionist Uri Avnery has endorsed them all his life, of course. Two of these lies are the subject of his current piece.
Jews - the worshippers of the Jewish religion - did have 2 common languages during many centuries : Ladino used by the Jews who lived in Mediterranean countries; Yiddish used by Jews who lived in central and eastern Europe. In all other countries - including the Arab countries - the Jews used the local language. The language of prayer only was Hebrew. Then, following the British occupation of Palestine in 1917-18, and the increasing immigration of the zionist settlers following the Balfour Declaration in 1917, the zionist leaders began a concerted effort to impose the zionist revised Hebrew language on the zionist settlers in Palestine.
I can still remeber myself as a young boy in Tel-Aviv under the British Mandate rule being horrified to watch gangs of zionist thugs terrorising passers by in central Tel-Aviv, sceaming at them : "Daber Ivrit !" (speak Hebrew !). Those zionist thugs were stalking people who had spoken any language other than Hebrew and terrorised them to speak Hebrew instead. In those days most of the zionist settlers did not know Hebrew. Only the family of the zionist settler Eliezer Ben-Yehuda is known to have used it in its daily life. However, his son, Itamar Ben Avi, the first zionist child settler to have been brought up on Hebrew, had become during the 1920s also the most ardent admirer of Mussolini, Italy's fascist dictator. So much for Avnery's zionist "miracle" of the Hebrew language in Palestine.
As for the zionist "democracy miracle", the historical reality and the zionist record are even more repugnant. There has never been democracy in the zionist state. Its regime is the zionist apartheid regime of Israel , which is a racist and fascist regime. Despite its facade of democracy the top rulers there are the secret zionist Gestapo chiefs. All the political parties there - with the exception of the disabled Palestinian parties - are zionist, making the elections there fictitious and meaningless. As I explained in my message 353 on this blog, the legal basis for fascism has been in place since 1948 in the form of the Defence Regulations (emergency), 1945, and it is still valid today.
Yet Avnery ignores all the above facts and pretends that the zionist state is in danger of losing its "democracy" now, following the new law which forbids boycotting the zionist state or its illegal settlements. Had his concern been genuine he would have denounced the zionist apartheid regime and demand its disbandment, but he doesn't.
