सुप्रीम कोर्ट के सरकार को अधिसूचना जारी करने की छूट देने के बावजूद पत्रकारों व गैरपत्रकारों के लिए मजीठिया आयोग की सिफारिशें लागू करने की अधिसूचना न जारी करने पर संभवतः अब पत्रकारों का धैर्य भी टूट रहा है। पत्रकारों की यूनियनों ने अब १४ अक्तूबर को देश भर में न सिर्फ धरना देना तय किया है बल्कि यूपीए अध्यक्ष सोनिया गांधी और युवा नेता व कांग्रेस महासचिव राहुल गांधी से इस मामले में दखल देने की अपील की है। दिल्ली में सोमवार को पत्रकारों के राष्ट्रीय संगठन (सीएनएनएईओ) कान्फेडरेशन आफ न्यूजपेपर एंड न्यूज एजंसी इंप्लाईज आर्गनाइजेशंस ने दिल्ली में कांग्रेस दफ्तर के सामने और पूरे देश में प्रदर्शन करने का फैसला लिया।
बैठक में पत्रकारों ने यह चेतावनी भी दी कि अगर अधिसूचना जारी करनें में और देरी की गई तो पत्रकार आगामी पांच राज्यों के होने वाले चुनाव में कांग्रेस के खिलाफ अभियान चलाने को मजबूर होंगे। पत्रकारों ने विपक्षी दल भाजपा व अन्य पर चुप्पी साध लेने का आरोप लगाते हुए मांग की कि विपक्षी दल सरकार पर अधिसूचना जारी करने का दबाव डालें। सरकार पर भी अखबार मालिकों के प्रभाव में आने का आरोप लगाया। ( पत्रकारों के प्रदर्शन की इस पूरी खबर को समाचार एजंसी पीटीआई ने दिया है। आप भी देखें )-------

Scribes to hold protest against govt for denying wage revision
New Delhi, Oct 10 (PTI) Employees of newspapers and news
agencies today decided to organise nation-wide protest dharnas
on October 14 against the Centre's "failure" to notify the
recommendation of wageboard for journalists and
non-journalists.
The decision to hold protest dharna in front of Congress
office in Delhi and in the state capitals on coming Friday was
taken by Confederation of Newspaper and News Agency Employees'
Organisations (CNNAEO) at a meeting here.
Besides, CNNAEO General Secretary M S Yadav, others who
attended the meeting included AINEF leader Santosh Kumar and
Madan Talwar, NUJI M D Gangwar and Rajendra Prabhu, IJU Madan
Singh, UNI Workers Union leaders M L Joshi and A L Gawade, PTI
Federation leaders Ajay Tyagi, Sanjay Sinha and Rajbir Singh,
IFWJ Parmanand Pandey, Times of India Employees Union Roop
Chand, Indian Express Employees Union leader C S Naidu and DUJ
S K Pande.
"Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had assured the media
employees that he would do his duty (by implementing
recommendations of G R Majithia wage boards recommendations...
why he is going back on his words," Yadav said.
"Cabinet can always consider the issue. No one is
preventing you to take decision," a Bench of justices Dalveer
Bhandari and Deepak Verma had said during last hearing on
September 21 after it was mentioned that the Cabinet has not
been able to take a decision because of the pendency of the
case before the apex court.
"So what prevents the government from doing its duty,"
the CNNAEO leaders questioned.
Yadav accused the UPA government of being under influence
of the owners of media organisations who are working overtime
to deny hike in salary to journalists and non-journalists
despite shooting inflation rate.
He warned the Congress party that if it continued with its
"anti-workers" attitude, mediapersons would not hesitate to
campaign against the party in the forthcoming assembly
elections in the five states.
The CNNAEO General Secretary urged UPA chief Sonia Gandhi
and AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi to come forward to
safeguard the interests of journalists and non-journalists.
He also accused the opposition BJP and others of merely
"paying lip service" to the cause of mediapersons and demanded
them to pressurise the government to notify the wage boards
