Posted: 07 Jul 2011 06:18 AM PDT The TSA insisted on searching a woman's hair at the SeaTac airport in Washington, according to a report by King 5 News in Seattle. After going through a radiation emitting naked body scanner, a screener demanded to rifle through Laura Adiele's hair. If she didn't comply, she was told, the police would be called. |
US caught off-guard by Iran sanctions Posted: 07 Jul 2011 06:01 AM PDT The decision by Iran's Parliament (Majlis) to impose sanctions on and indict 26 US officials who have perpetrated war crimes and violated human rights has come as a great surprise to the US government that has always accused independent nations such as Iran of violating human rights and supporting terrorism. |
Cruise missiles with depleted uranium on Libya Posted: 07 Jul 2011 05:55 AM PDT The issues regarding depleted uranium (DU) and its toxicity have sometimes, in recent years, gone beyond the scope of science. The writer has dealt with radiation protection for twenty years and depleted uranium since 1999. After an experience of publishing scientific papers in journals, conference proceedings and international conferences on DU, this article attempts to estimate the possible environmental and health impact of the use of depleted uranium in the war of Libya (2011). Reports of its use have appeared in the media since the beginning of the conflict [1]. |
Plastic isn't Fantastic When Used as Invisible Shrapnel Posted: 07 Jul 2011 04:45 AM PDT You wouldn't believe what is killing and maiming people in Palestine. This article is about war-related issues in Palestine that are missing the radar in western newsrooms. I am referring to the use of plastic shards intentionally placed in rockets that leave behind undetectable shrapnel in humans, munitions that puzzled doctors because they amputate human limbs by heat, and the massive killings of Palestinian farm animals and wildlife through the use of Israeli-manufactured tablets deposited on Palestinian land. |
Author Jan Irvin: Mind Control and The Dumbing Down of Society Posted: 07 Jul 2011 04:05 AM PDT Alex talks with author and lecturer in archaeoastronomy, astrotheology, ethnopharmacology, Jan Irvin. Mr. Irvin has lectured on mind control, logical fallacies, and how to free one's mind from the current system of control. He will talk about the dumbing down of society and how mind control is used in advertising. |
The "War On Terror" Is A $6 Trillion Racket, Exceeding The Total Cost Of World War II Posted: 07 Jul 2011 03:46 AM PDT When Obama launched his re-election propaganda campaign to trick the American public into thinking that he intends to end the Af-Pak War, he said that the "War on Terror" has cost $1 trillion over the past decade. While that is a staggering amount of money, he was being deceitful once again. |
Posted: 07 Jul 2011 03:22 AM PDT Watch full episode 162 of Keiser Report later in the day. This week Max Keiser and co-host, Stacy Herbert, report on selling Greece's sovereignty and Spain's El Gordo. In the second half of the show, Max talks to economist Michael Hudson about the IMF assassins sent in to destroy the Greek economy. KR on FB: www.facebook.com/KeiserReport |
Halpin: Israeli-America-British axis sowing chaos in the Middle East Posted: 07 Jul 2011 02:03 AM PDT Halpin: Israeli-America-British axis sowing chaos in the Middle East |
Failed peace talks led Palestine to the UN Posted: 07 Jul 2011 01:40 AM PDT Israeli government officials and much of the Israeli population seem to be dead set against Palestinians going to the UN for recognition of an independent Palestinian state. The Palestinian attempt to obtain full membership in the UN has been called "an attempt to delegitimise Israel", a "unilateral act", a "crime", and even "a declaration of war" against Israel. |
'Israel distorts Gaza flotilla facts' Posted: 07 Jul 2011 01:00 AM PDT A French boat, as part of an international aid flotilla II, is on its way to the Palestinian territories while other activists are determined to get to the blockaded Palestinian enclave by air. |
NATO Using Nuclear Weapons in Libya Posted: 07 Jul 2011 12:54 AM PDT As part of a Libya international observer team, Middle East analyst Mahdi Darius Nazemroaya headlined his July 5 Global Research.ca article, "NATO War Crimes: Depleted Uranium Found in Libya by Scientists," saying: |
Posted: 07 Jul 2011 12:21 AM PDT "Much rumbling has emanated from the US Congress on Libya - centered around technicalities around the War Powers Act [sic]," writes Pepe Escobar in the Asia Times. "As the semantic contortions involved in the Libya tragedy have already gone way beyond Newspeak, this means in practice US drones will keep joining NATO fighter jets in bombing civilians in Tripoli." |
'Aid flotillas reveal Israel's violent nature' Posted: 07 Jul 2011 12:19 AM PDT Greek authorities have prevented Gaza-bound Freedom Flotilla II from leaving Greek ports where ten ships carrying humanitarian relief aid for the impoverished sliver are stuck. |
NATO member found guilty of mass killings Posted: 07 Jul 2011 12:01 AM PDT One of the EU and NATO countries for the first time was found guilty of killing people during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1992-1995. The International Court of Justice in The Hague placed some responsibility on Holland for the deaths of Muslims at Srebrenica in July of 1995. Until now, the West tried to portray the Bosnian Serb leaders Radovan Karadzic and Ratko Mladic as the only culprits of the tragedy. |
Posted: 07 Jul 2011 12:00 AM PDT Yesterday we reported on the FDA's new scheme for outlawing nearly all nutritional supplements formulated after October, 1994 (http://www.naturalnews.com/032912_F...). That was just the beginning of this story, because a detailed analysis of the proposed new regulation reveals extremely disturbing revelations that would absolutely gut the nutritional products industry if these regulations are put into practice. |
Is your medication causing you to suffer from malnutrition? Posted: 07 Jul 2011 12:00 AM PDT Most people trust that the medicines that they take will help them overcome illness, enhance their health and promote well-being. Unfortunately medications often deplete important nutrients from the body, and people don't find the relief that they seek. |
Killing Old People Is Fiscally Responsible Posted: 06 Jul 2011 11:04 PM PDT Not to put too fine a point on it, Mr. President, but fuck your fiscal good. Whose fiscal good is it? And whose pain? Last week the New York Times said you hoped by hacking away at Medicare to inflict some pain on your base. That way, supposedly, the Republicans would inflict some pain on their base. Then we'd all feel better. Assuming we're all Wall Street banksters. But what if we're actually, almost all of us, the people you criminals call your bases? You, Captain Peace Prize, propose slashing Medicare and Social Security. And, in exchange, according to the Washington Post, Eric Cantor has proposed more tax cuts for free loaders who don't work for a living. What a deal!
|
What Price Are You Willing To Pay For Tripoli? Posted: 06 Jul 2011 11:00 PM PDT Am I correct in assuming you do not own a bank? Then you might not want to send NATO soldiers to invade Libya to steal their 144 million ounces of gold and allow the bankers to steal that 100 billion dollars in Libyan overseas deposits. The bankers need to steal the wealth of Libya because they fear bankruptcy more than death. |
TRUTH-The Main Casualty of American Policy Posted: 06 Jul 2011 10:37 PM PDT The Times said George W. Bush, Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld covered up that hundreds of innocent men were sent to the Guantánamo Bay prison camp because they feared that releasing them would harm the push for war in Iraq and the broader War on Terror. In 704 leaked documents assessing detainees, the word "possibly" appears 387 times, "unknown" 188 times and "deceptive" 85 times. Two conflicting committees from the Department of Defense worked at the facility and clashed frequently over how to classify prisoners' threat levels and the quality of information they shared. |
'US wages wars to build empire' Posted: 06 Jul 2011 08:54 PM PDT The British defense ministry has confirmed that its unmanned Reaper drone aircraft killed four Afghan civilians and injured two others in an attack in March. |
Kiss Of 'Democratic' Death: Israel's Plot To Take Down Syria II Posted: 06 Jul 2011 08:36 PM PDT No attack on sovereign nations, whether overt like in Libya or covert like in Syria, comes without a steady flow of propaganda against the 'hostile environment' being targeted. And the psychological warfare being waged against Syria is exceedingly heavy. The Zionist-run, Zionist-owned Western mainstream press was not alone in this sustained campaign of skullduggery though. This time around, it partnered up with the Qatari state media giant Al-Jazeera to boost the hasbara festivities and give them an 'Arab' feel, therefore granting 'legitimacy' to the aforesaid hasbara. |
Kiss Of 'Democratic' Death: Israel's Plot To Take Down Syria I Posted: 06 Jul 2011 08:35 PM PDT Al-Jumhuriyyah al-Arabiyyah as-Suriyyah, the Syrian Arab Republic, or simply, Syria, is being systematically assaulted by the world's arrogant powers. No, Syria isn't being bombarded with bombs and missiles from helicopter gunships or F-16s (at least... not yet). It is being bombarded by something else; something more sinister, more cunning and deadlier. It is being bombarded by an entity that is almost full of life in its undying intransigence: Zionist-designed, Zionist-enforced 'democracy.' |
Von Braunhut: 'KKK's Jewish helper' Posted: 06 Jul 2011 06:22 PM PDT |
Posted: 06 Jul 2011 05:16 PM PDT The joint photograph of the two rabbis of nationalism, Dov Lior and Yaakov Yosef, being carried on their disciples' shoulders should have cried out like a thousand words: hand in hand, the knitted skullcaps and the black ones, the Ashkenazim and the Sephardim, all looking like a united tribe of zealots. That marks a change in the political landscape of Israel's right, of which the religious are the most active members - a depressing and dangerous change. |
Posted: 06 Jul 2011 05:16 PM PDT It's interesting that what embarrassed people about the story of the transfer of terrorists' bodies to the Palestinian Authority was the government's zig-zagging - that is, the tactical, political and diplomatic issues. The defense minister painted the prime minister into a corner, the national security adviser was summoned to intervene, members of the "septet" of seven key ministers objected and the Palestinian minister for civilian affairs leaked the story. |
Posted: 06 Jul 2011 05:16 PM PDT Proper disclosure one: I know Dominique Strauss-Kahn's wife, Anne Sinclair. I think highly of her and like her. Proper disclosure two: I think it would be right for Dominique Strauss-Kahn to become the president of France. The mix of socialism and financial expertise with leadership and organizational skills seems to me the right combination for France and Europe. That's why I was distressed by the hotel-housekeeper story and did not write about it. Even though Strauss-Kahn's weakness for women was known, it seemed to me there was a big difference between loving women and raping women. |
The flotilla and the Jewish stereotype Posted: 06 Jul 2011 05:16 PM PDT Like an anti-Semitic caricature, Israel has extended its long tentacles around the globe in an effort to stop 10 decades-old ships from sailing to Gaza. Many Israelis interpreted this as a great victory. |
The left has always persecuted the Orthodox Jews Posted: 06 Jul 2011 05:16 PM PDT The joint photograph of the two rabbis of nationalism, Dov Lior and Yaakov Yosef, being carried on their disciples' shoulders should have cried out like a thousand words: hand in hand, the knitted skullcaps and the black ones, the Ashkenazim and the Sephardim, all looking like a united tribe of zealots. That marks a change in the political landscape of Israel's right, of which the religious are the most active members - a depressing and dangerous change. |
A civilized country doesn't traffic in bodies Posted: 06 Jul 2011 05:16 PM PDT As if the growing tension between Israel and the Palestinians over the expected UN vote to recognize a Palestinian state and the failed attempts to breathe life into the dying diplomatic process weren't enough, the government has added fuel to the fire over the issue of transferring 84 bodies of terrorists to the Palestinian Authority. |
In dealing with flotilla, Israel is anything but smart Posted: 06 Jul 2011 05:16 PM PDT CRETE - Like an anti-Semitic caricature, Israel has extended its long tentacles around the globe in an effort to stop 10 decades-old ships from sailing to Gaza. Many Israelis interpreted this as a great victory. |

The strange silencing of liberal America Posted: 06 Jul 2011 04:00 PM PDT How does political censorship work in liberal societies? When my film, 'Year Zero: the Silent Death of Cambodia', was banned in the United States in 1980, the broadcaster PBS cut all contact. Negotiations were ended abruptly; phone calls were not returned. Something had happened. But what? 'Year Zero' had already alerted much of the world to the horrors of Pol Pot, but it also investigated the critical role of the Nixon administration in the tyrant's rise to power and the devastation of Cambodia. |
Outrage as Germany 'sells' 200 tanks to Saudi regime Posted: 06 Jul 2011 02:59 PM PDT Germany is reportedly selling two hundred battle tanks to Saudi Arabia. Talk of a deal has caused outrage among Germany's opposition politicians, who claim the government would be breaking its own export rules. Peace activist Jens Wagner says he fears the heavy weapons could be used to crush anti-regime protests in the region. |
Behind-scenes UN spat over French arms-drops to Libya Posted: 06 Jul 2011 02:54 PM PDT Diplomats from Russia and France have reportedly clashed over NATO's handling of the Libya crisis at a meeting of the UN Security Council held behind closed doors. It's believed Moscow criticized the French decision to deliver weapons to anti-Gadaffi rebels, which Russia says was a violation of the UN resolution. RT's Egor Piskunov reports on why Moscow is taking such a strong stance... |
Posted: 06 Jul 2011 02:47 PM PDT Four Hezbollah members have been indicted by a UN-backed court in the 2005 assassination of former prime minister Rafik Hariri. While some regard Hezbollah as a terrorist organization which is most likely behind the crime, others say it is all about politics. Who is interested in pressuring Hezbollah? Does the indictment undermine Hezbollah's credibility, or does it only boost its support among the Lebanese? |
Portugal Junked: 'Bailouts - outrageous anti-taxpayer scam' Posted: 06 Jul 2011 02:44 PM PDT Europe's ongoing struggle to save the Euro has been dealt another blow as Portugal has had its debt downgraded to junk status. Moody's, the credit rating agency behind the move, says a default is likely unless the country is given another bailout. Many analysts have questioned the logic of saddling struggling economies with more debt as speculation grows over whether the EU is ready to come to Portugal's rescue again. And the direction the EU and the IMF are taking in solving this crisis may well lead to severe consequences - that's according to Douglas Carswell, an MP from the British Conservative Party. |
Posted: 06 Jul 2011 02:22 PM PDT The United States has 460 bases overseas! It has 507 permanent bases! What is the US doing with more than 560 foreign bases? Why does it have 662 bases abroad? Does the United States really have more than 1,000 military bases across the globe? |
Exclusive: Sony Forces Employees To Submit To Body Scanners Posted: 06 Jul 2011 01:58 PM PDT Sony distribution centers are mandating that employees pass through body scanners when they exit the workplace according to an internal memo leaked to Infowars, but the corporation claims that the devices do not emit harmful radiation nor do they display naked images, why begs the question such scanners are not being used in airports. |
A War Criminal Almost Arrested In The UK Posted: 06 Jul 2011 01:19 PM PDT According to the Hebrew edition of Yediot Aharonot, Amir Peretz, a war criminal, former "defense minister" and MK escaped during the past weekend an embarrassing arrest warrant issued by a court in London in response to a criminal complaint filed by a Human rights defenders organization, following the war crimes perpetrated during 2006 of Lebanon Second War. The war criminal was warned before his travel to the UK, and it was recommended to him by two other criminals, the "Justice" and "Foreign" ministers while he was in New York last week, to not travel to the UK and to cancel his trip. Peretz ignored the warnings and landed in the UK last weekend. His plan was to spread zionists propaganda against Palestinians and to justify the Israeli crimes by giving a lecture at a London university. |
Ron Paul: Abolish the TSA, Stop Abuses and Failures Posted: 06 Jul 2011 01:15 PM PDT The press reports are horrifying: 95 year-old women humiliated; children molested; disabled people abused; men and women subjected to unwarranted groping and touching of their most private areas; involuntary radiation exposure. If the perpetrators were a gang of criminals, their headquarters would be raided by SWAT teams and armed federal agents. Unfortunately, in this case the perpetrators are armed federal agents. This is the sorry situation ten years after the creation of the Transportation Security Administration. |
Poll Shows Most Travelers Will Forgo Flying to Avoid Scanner Radiation Posted: 06 Jul 2011 01:08 PM PDT A recent Infowars.com poll reveals that over 90 percent of respondents will not use commercial airlines if airports continue to subject travelers to deadly radiation emitting naked body scanners. 92% said they would avoid airports while 8% said use of the devices would not stop them from flying. |
Yemen Continues to Inspire Amid Great Odds Posted: 06 Jul 2011 11:14 AM PDT The Yemeni people are unrelenting in their demands for democracy. Millions continue to stage rallies across their country in a display of will that is proving the most robust out of all the Arab revolutions. The Yemenis face great challenges, however, including the political vacillation of their country's opposition, and the US' military and strategic interests in Yemen. |
Sabotage is Name of Israeli Game Posted: 06 Jul 2011 11:12 AM PDT There is no lack of creativity, viciousness and connivance in Israeli and European attempts to dissuade and discourage the "Freedom Flotilla II" from leaving Greece for Gaza. |
US to extend her presence in Iraq Posted: 06 Jul 2011 08:28 AM PDT The US has offered the Iraqi government an extended military presence, beyond 2011, in order to train the Iraqi security forces. |
Enforcing Evil? Germany selling 200 tanks to Saudi regime Posted: 06 Jul 2011 07:30 AM PDT Germany is reportedly selling two hundred battle tanks to Saudi Arabia. Talk of a deal has caused outrage among Germany's opposition politicians, who claim the government would be breaking its own export rules. Peace activist Jens Wagner says he fears the heavy weapons could be used to crush anti-regime protests in the region. |
Discordant approaches to Islamic movements Posted: 06 Jul 2011 07:20 AM PDT A discordant trend is tearing apart the Western alliance and its Middle East policies. The armed intervention in Libya has highlighted this graphically, with the US giving only token assistance to the NATO-led strikes. |
GREECE: Activists Protest Ban Confining Gaza Freedom Flotilla to Port Posted: 06 Jul 2011 07:05 AM PDT |
Russian FSB Boss: Internet a Haven for Terrorists Posted: 06 Jul 2011 06:34 AM PDT The boss of Russia's Federal Security Service, the main successor of the KGB during the Soviet era, told the state-owned RIA Novosti news agency that global terrorists are actively integrating with new media. |
IMFamous: DSK case 'not assassination but suicide' Posted: 06 Jul 2011 05:48 AM PDT Former IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn's hopes of a political comeback are all-but dashed, now that a French writer has officially filed a complaint for a 2003 rape attempt. Strauss-Kahn's lawyers now pledge to sue Tristane Banon for slander. Meanwhile, the current assault charges against him in New York continue to ebb away, with the investigation questioning his alleged victim's credibility. It's claimed the hotel maid fabricated her asylum application and lied about income tax. But even these developments are likely to prove too late to revive Strauss-Kahn's reputation and career, as French history professor Robert Zaretsky told RT. |
Posted: 06 Jul 2011 05:13 AM PDT This past Monday, July 4, my fellow countrymen marked their independence of 235 years from colonial rule. America, which purports its love of freedom and democracy, has proved in this past year to be more of a bandwagon fan rather than an avid front runner for such ideals. For example, its backing of Egypt's Hosni Mubarak until the bitter end, the relative inaction towards Syria's President Bashar Assad in the face of mass murder, recent threats to sanction Palestine if it seeks statehood at the UN, not to mention talk of criminalizing US citizens who are taking part in humanitarian missions to the Gaza Strip. These actions do not seem to add up to America's fundamental values. |
Dissident Resurgence Seen in Northern Ireland Posted: 06 Jul 2011 04:04 AM PDT It was a tragedy on Mother's Day for Nuala Kerr. Her son Ronan had been a police constable for three months when he was murdered by dissident republicans in April. |
MIDEAST: Germany to Deliver Weapons to Saudi Arabia Posted: 06 Jul 2011 02:37 AM PDT BERLIN, Jul 6, 2011 (IPS) - The decision by the German government to deliver 200 state-of-the-art armoured tanks to Saudi Arabia, despite the Wahhabi monarchy |
What is the 'right' type of resistance? Posted: 06 Jul 2011 02:28 AM PDT Over the past few months, several international media outlets have published articles fixating on the so-called "new" Palestinian nonviolent movement. Two fallacies have accompanied such reporting and analysis. First the use of the term "nonviolent" and its connotations; and second, the narrative surrounding the movement. |
Posted: 05 Jul 2011 05:18 PM PDT The dozens of Israeli couples who married about two weeks ago in a mass ceremony in the city square of Larnaca, Cyprus, didn't do so in order to break the Guinness record for mass weddings. They were forced to take part in this expensive procedure, far from home and family, because in Israel, there was no way they could have a civil wedding. |
The state has triumphed over Facebook Posted: 05 Jul 2011 05:18 PM PDT Greece has halted the Gaza-bound flotilla protest, after Turkey had already stopped its boats from taking part. The diplomatic context is clear: Israel's position is strengthening amid the revolts in the Arab world, and it's gaining friends who are abandoning the Palestinians and the pro-Iran camp. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu correctly calculated his diplomatic steps and threats of force, and the flotilla did not embark. |
We must stop Israel from becoming a theocracy Posted: 05 Jul 2011 05:18 PM PDT Those of us who believe that the internal debate in the Jewish community in Israel is still focused on defense needs or the number of settlements that should be evacuated, were proven wrong by the followers of Kiryat Arba's Rabbi Dov Lior. The real controversy focuses on the image of Israeli society and the nature of the country's governance. The conflict with the Palestinians is only a platform for shaping positions on this issue. |
The Rarity of Secular Liberals—Except among White Folks Posted: 05 Jul 2011 02:28 PM PDT |
Why was Salah muzzled for preaching peace in London? Posted: 05 Jul 2011 11:14 AM PDT He is an Islamic "preacher of hate" whose views reflect "virulent anti-Semitism" and who has funded Hamas terror operations, according to much of the British media. The furor last week over Sheikh Raed Salah, described by the Daily Mail newspaper as a "vile militant extremist," goaded the British government into ordering his late-night arrest, pending a fast-track deportation. The raid on his hotel, from which he was taken handcuffed to a police cell, came shortly before he was due to address a meeting in the British parliament attended by several members of parliament. |
