Occupied Kashmir - Protest, Bloodpath Continue! Shame on Silent International Bodies!!!!

Protests, Bloodbath Continue

Srinagar, July 31, KONS- Two more Kashmiris were killed on Saturday and hundreds wounded, many of them hit with bullets, as police and paramilitary forces again opened fire to crush massive protest demonstrations that continued across length and breadth of Kashmir valley for the second day running.

Thousands of Kashmiris, undeterred by a stringent curfew, took to streets in almost all major towns and small townships across Kashmir, a day after four persons were shot dead by the government forces during massive pro-Azadi demonstrations in Sopore and Pattan.
Enraged at the latest killings protesters ransacked a camp of dreaded Special Operations Group of J&K Police in Kreeri, torched CRPF bunkers in Sangam and Bijbehara, tried to set a railway station on fire in Sopore and clashed with government forces virtually turning the streets across Kashmir into a battle ground.
Police and paramilitary forces almost every where resorted to massive use of force to quell the raging protests, however without any success.
Reports of widespread defiance of curfew has come in from Baramulla, Sopore, Sangrama, Pattan, Sumbal,Bandipora, Tangmarg, Awantipora, Pampore, Sangam, Bijbehara, Tral, Shopian, Ganderbal, Budgam and uptown Srinagar.
The protesters in capital clashed with paramilitary forces in curfew bound Bemina, Padshahi Bagh, Hyderpora and several areas of the old city.   Eight people including two women were hit by bullets.

As the Kreeri news reached Baramulla people defying curfew came out of their houses in large numbers. Chanting anti-India slogans they clashed with paramilitary forces and police at Cement and old Bridges. The clashes soon spread to other areas including Old Town where government forces opened fire on crowds after heavy teargas shelling failed to disperse them. Reports said a bullet hit 22 year old Javed Ahmed Teli in the head injuring him critically. Doctors referred critically injured Javed to Soura Medical institute Srinagar, some 60 kms away. He however breathed his last on way to hospital.
When news of Javed's death reached the town fresh wave of protests erupted. Police again opened fire this time injuring seven more protesters.
High tension was prevailing in the town Town and police had not handed over the body to the family for last rites till reports last came in late Saturday night.
In nearby Sopore town, where two people had died in police firing yesterday , thousands of enraged residents defied curfew and held massive anti-India demonstrations.
Again people turned violent when police and paramilitary forces appeared on the scene. Amidst clashes large number of youth attacked the local Railway Station and set it on fire.
Police again resorted to firing resulting in injuries to at least twelve persons. Two of the  injured youth identified as Freroz Ahmad Shah and Muhammad Aamir were said to be in serious condition.
In Sangrama one Muhamad Iqbal Rathar (23) was seriously wounded when CRPF personnel opened fire after their bunker was rained with stones by the angry crowds.
In Naidkhai area of Sumbal in Bandipur district a large procession was taken out in defiance of curfew. Quoting eyewitnesses KNS said protesters clashed with paramilitary forces after they resorted to heavy cane charge and tear gas shelling on the procession.
Enraged at the forces' action protesters retaliated by attacking a camp of 14th battalion of the Indain Reserve Police (IRP).
Police opened fire killing one Mudassir Ahmad Lone, a 20 year old local youth, on the spot. Two more youth Showkat Ahmad and Shabir Ahmad have been wounded in the firing.
Resultant clashes fuelled further by the police firing left at least twenty more persons injured. The injured included SP of police.
Infuriated crowds also besieged the local police station and held scores of policemen inside hostage for several hours.
Reports said police and CRPF personnel later entered dozens of homes ransacking the house hold gods and beating up inmates.
Violence also broke out in Pampore, 16 kms from here, where locals attacked policemen. At Pantachowk, near Indian army's biggest cantonment in the valley, thousands of people blocked the sole national highway connecting Kashmir with rest of India for several hours.
Two Indian Air Force (IAF) buses stuck in the highway were set on fire by the crowds after they first emptied them of the passengers.
In Bijbehara protests stormed heavily guarded CRPF bunkers forcing them to flee to safety. Number of bunkers were set on fire. According to reports 15 persons were injured in police firing here.
Twelve persons were injured in Samboora, Pampore and over a dozen in Awantipur.
In flood hit Kupwara, a reprieve in curfew turned temporary when people staged anti-India and pro-freedom protests immediately after curfew was relaxed at 6 p.m Saturday.
Six persons were reportedly injured in clashes here and curfew was reimposed immediately afterwards.
