PUJA SPECIAL

Kolkata: Friday, August 27, 2010.

 

East Central Railway and North East Frontier Railway have arranged to run some special trains during Puja and other festivals this year to clear the extra rush of passengers. They are running 24 pairs of Jaynagar – Ranchi Special (bi-weekly), 8 pairs of Kamakhya – Kolkata Superfast Special (weekly) and 8 pairs of Guwahati – Digha Special (weekly) during the Puja holidays.

 

0585A Up Jaynagar – Ranchi bi-weekly Special train will leave Jaynagar on Sundays and Wednesdays during the period from 1 September to 21 November, 2010. 0586A Down Ranchi –Jaynagar bi-weekly Special will leave Ranchi on Mondays and Thursdays from 2 September to 22 November, 2010. This train will have 15 coaches including 1 AC 3-tier, 4 Sleeper Class, 8 General 2nd Class and 2 Second Class-cum- luggage vans.

 

0574 Down Kamakhya – Kolkata weekly Superfast Special will leave Kamakhya on Mondays from 11 October to 29 November, 2010 and 0573 Up Kolkata – Kamakhya weekly Superfast Special will leave on Tuesdays from 12 October to 30 November, 2010. It means the passengers from Kolkata city and other passengers of Bandel-Katwa-Azimgunj-Malda Town will have additional special train for going towards North Bengal and Assam during Puja holidays. This train will have 16 coaches including 1 AC 3-tier, 7 Sleeper Class, 6 General 2nd Class and 2 General Second Class-cum-luggage vans.

 

0572 Down Guwahati – Digha weekly Special will leave Guwahati on Thursdays during the period from 7 October to 25 November, 2010. 0571 Up Digha - Guwahati weekly Special will start from Digha on Fridays from 8 October to 26 November, 2010. This train will have 16 coaches including 1 AC 2-tier, 1 AC 3-tier, 7 Sleeper Class, 4 General 2nd Class, 2 luggage vans and 1 pantry car. This train will also travel via Howrah-Bandel-Katwa-Azimgunj-Malda Town over Eastern Railways jurisdiction.
