                 Shri Suvendu Adhikari, MP (LS), has called on Hon'ble President on August 5 at Rashtrapati Bhavan and briefed the President about the contribution of Shri Sushil Kumar Dhara to the freedom Movement. Since Shri Dhara is bed-ridden in Mahishadal in Purba Medinipur and not in a position to visit Delhi on August 9, the day the President is hosting a reception for the freedom fighters at Rashtrapati Bhavan, she desired that the Governor, West Bengal may be requested to felicitate the freedom fighter appropriately. The President herself written on the letter of Biplabi Sushil Kumar Dhara Janma Sata Barsa Upjapan Samiti, submitted by the local MP at the time of her meeting the President, that 'Shri Sushil Kumar Dhara be felicitated befittingly'. The President's office immediately got in touch with the Governor's office and informed about the President's instructions. The President also personally desired to write to Shri Dhara to congratulate him on his entering the age of 100 yrs and for his contribution to our freedom movement. The letter from the President is attached for your perusal.

 

                I would request you to reflect appropriately President's concern and her out of the way gesture to show respect to the heroes of our freedom struggle.
