The current statement by Dr. Mustafa Barghouti MP titled,A Statement to the Palestinian People In the interest of resisting external pressure aimed at imposing direct negotiations under Israeli conditions, has some very important omissions in it, if it is to be understood as being really "in the interest of resisting external pressure aimed at imposing direct negotiations" with the zionist enemy (see the statement here : http://uruknet.com/?p=m68893&hd=&size=1&l=e ).
The first and foremost is the missing rejection of the zionist apartheid regime of Israel itself , no matter what this racist regime says or does. The past 62 years have provided many lessons for Palestinians to learn that the zionist apartheid regime of Israel - like zionism, its ideology - excludes the very basic rights, including the right to self determination of the Arab people of Palestine in their homeland, in Palestine. Who then is the partner to negotiating a just peace with the Palestinians ? It is the enemy of Palestinian existence ! The moment the zionist apartheid regime of Israel would agree to a just peace in Palestine it would cease to be what it is ,namely, the zionist apartheid regime of Israel, and this is not likely to happen, of course.
Therefore, the very "peace" negotiation with this racist and fascist regime would not only legitimise an illegal and pariah regime, but would negate the very inalienable rights of the Palestinians people in their homeland !
The next important omission is equality for the Palestinians who are Israeli citizens. They are the Palestinians who steadfastly remained in their homes in Palestine, despite the ethnic cleansing during 1948 by the zionist enemy. Their omission from Dr. Barghouti's statement is tantamount to the legitimisation of zionist apartheid under the zionist apartheid regime of Israel !
The third important omission is the immediate release of all the Palestinian patriots from zionist prisons and concentration camps.
The fourth omission is the denunciation of the PNC regime in Ramallah for its active and open collaboration with the zionist enemy.
The fifth omission is the condemnation of the betrayal by Raji Sourani of myself and my children to the ongoing zionist Gestapo torture here, in Australia.
" I protest the continuous torture of the Australian citizen Benjamin Merhav by sleep deprivation and his daughter and son by psychiatric torture in Melbourne, Australia.
This torture is perpetrated against Benjamin Merhav directly by the clandestine arm of the State of Israel (the zionist Gestapo), and indirectly by the same culprit against Benjamin's daughter and son.
I demand that the Australian government instruct ASIO to protect these Australian citizens, and stop these terrorist crimes by a foreign government on Australian soil immediately !"
2. to ICJ-Australia and ICJ Secretariat (email president@icj-aust.org.au,chair@icj-aust.org.au,sec-gen@icj-aust.org.au,

"I protest your refusal to investigate Benjamin Merhav's complaint against the Australian government's approval of ASIO's violation of the rule of law in Australia, regarding the continuous torture in Melbourne of himself, his daughter and his son , all Australian citizens, by the clandestine arm of the State of Israel (the zionist Gestapo).
I demand your immediate intervention to protect these Australian citizens, to stop the perpetration of these terrorist crimes In Australia, and to end these violations of the rule of law by the Australian government in Australia."
3. to the PCHR and to all the Palestinian leaders in occupied Palestine ( email english@palestine-info.co.uk ;
pchr@pchrgaza.org ) message along the following
lines :
"I protest the betrayal of Benjamin Merhav by Raji Sourani to the zionist Gestapo's torture. I demand Sourani's replacement on the ICJ and on FIDH with a honest Palestinian patriot who would initiate protest action against the torture of Benjamin Merhav, his daughter, and his son by the zionist Gestapo in Australia.
I demand that the Palestinian leaders encourage Palestinians and their supporters to protest this ongoing terrorist torture by the zionist Gestapo, and to demand that it should stop immediately."
