कितने बंगालियों को मालूम है कि समकालीन हिंदी कविता के प्रतिनिधि नित्यानन्द गायेन कितने बड़े कवि हैं? कितने आदिवासियों को मालूम हैं की जसिंता विश्व प्रसिद्ध समकालीन हिंदी कवयित्री हैं? अस्मिता की राजनीति में जाति,वर्ण,धर्म,नस्ल के वर्चस्व नें प्रतिभाओं की न पहचान होती है और न उसे मान्यता मिलती है।
बांग्लादेश,नेपाल,श्रीलंका,पाकिस्तान, क्यूबा,म्यांमार,चीन से लेकर यूरोप अमेरिका तक में मेरे लेख छपते रहे हैं। लेकिन पश्चिम बंगाल में मेरे लेख न हिंदी में, न बंगला में और न अंग्रेजी में छपे।इक्का दुक्का मित्रों ने छापे। जनसत्ता में भी मेरे लेख नहीं छपते थे। इंडियन एक्सप्रेस ने गलती से छापा। टाइम्स ऑफ इंडिया और हिंदुस्तान टाइम्स में छपा।टेलीग्राफ या आनन्द बाजार समूह में कभी नहीं छपा।
भाषा, साहित्य और संस्कृति को जाति, वर्ण,क्षेत्र,नस्ल की सरहद से न बांधे तो मनुष्यता और सभ्यता का उपक होगा।
प्रेरणा अंशु के सितम्बर अंक के कवर पर जो कविता जसिंता की छपी है।वह प्रकृति में निष्णात आदिवासी जीवन दर्शन की सर्वोत्तम कविता है।
ऑक्सीजन संकट के दौरान लिखी गई इस कबिता का अनुवाद भारतीय भाषाओं के अलावा दुनियाभर में चर्चित है। हम कवर पर समकालीन कवियों को नहीं छापते। जसिंता का जन्म ही 1983 में हुई।जब हमारी शादी हुई।
