Joint demonstration against the anti-people policies of the Delhi Government
Hundreds of activists of the Communist Ghadar Party of India, SUCI(C), CPI(ML) and People's Front (Delhi) held a joint demonstration in front of the Delhi Secretariat on 16th March 2011 to protest against rising prices, unemployment, corruption and other problems faced by the ordinary people of Delhi.
Employees of ING Vysya Bank strike work
4000 employees of ING Vysya Bank went on strike on March 17, 2011. They are protesting against anti employee practices of the management.
Food Corporation of India workers' agitation
2000 workers of the Food Corporation of India, the government agency that stores and distributes grains all over India for the country's subsidized public distribution system, are striking against the management.

International Women's Day celebrations in Worli B.D.D. Chawls, Mumbai
On Sunday March 13, over 300 women together with other residents of Worli BDD Chawls in Central Mumbai, participated enthusiastically in celebrations to mark International Women's Day. They were joined by women from other working class residential areas, including women from far off Padgha.
Demonstration against imperialist aggression on Libya!
On 24 March, the Communist Ghadar Party of India, the Socialist Unity Center of India (Communist), CPIML, and Peoples Front (Delhi) organised a joint demonstration at parliament to condemn the savage imperialist aggression on Libya by the forces of US, Britain, France and other NATO countries.

Starting on 19th March, warplanes of the United States, France, Britain and a few other imperialist countries have rained Tomahawk missiles and other deadly weapons on selected targets in Libya, including its capital city Tripoli.
Militant demonstration in London
Saturday 26th March was a historic and proud day for all working people of Britain. Almost a million people marched through the streets of London protesting against the cuts to welfare and public services, corporate bail-outs, and wars of aggression in the Middle East and South Asia. Central London was brought to a standstill by students, pensioners, trade unionists, anti-war protesters along with masses of working people marching in solidarity.
Opposition to acquisition of fertile land for atomic power station
A rally was brought out under the leadership of Kisan Sangharsh Samiti on 19th March 2011 in Fatehabad, Haryana against the Gorakhpur Atomic Power Station. The demonstrators, consisting of hundreds of militant farmers, youth and women of 20 to 25 village panchayats, took out a candle light march right through the centre of the town.
Air India pilots threaten strike
Pilots of Air India who came from the Indian Airlines into the merged entity have threatened strike action if their long standing demands are not met.
Mizoram workers demand implementation of minimum wages
The National Trade Union of Mizoram (NTUM) has launched a struggle demanding that the government immediately implement the recommendations of the Wage Board on Minimum Wages. The struggle has won the support of workers in different sectors and departments of the government.
Resident doctors of Maharashtra fight for better conditions
Resident Doctors of Maharashtra organized under banner of Maharashtra Association of Resident Doctors (MARD) went on a one day strike on March 25, 2011. MARD has 3,500 members. Along with the Resident Doctors, interns also boycotted work.
Protests in Punjab
The Punjab draftsmen union, panchayat secretary union, zila parishad category-4 employees union, ETT teachers union, municipal corporation employees union and Punjab State Education Board employee union staged protests in Chandigarh.
Workers of Ford India threaten strike
Ford India Employees Union (FIEU) is preparing for a strike in the Mariamali Nagar plant in Tamilnadu. The union is planning demonstrations outside the 50 meter radius of the car plant. The main demand of the workers is recognition of the Union by the Management.
Meghalaya workers protest price rise
The All Garo Hills Muster Roll Workers' Union and All Garo Hills Anganwadi Workers Association in a meeting in Tura asked the government to address the problem of rise in prices of various essential commodities.
Hotel employees organize for rights
Representatives of Hotel Employees from seven states representing 46 unions met in Goa in March in a delegates conference of the Hotel Employees Federation of India (HEFOI). Formed in 2007, HEOFI is a trade union federation of hotel and catering workers, uniting workers of the industry across party lines.
Newspaper employees demand implementation of wage board recommendations
Newspaper employees organized a powerful demonstration in front of the lbour ministry demanding the immediately implementation of the recommendations of the wage board headed by Justice Majitia. It may be recalled that this wageboard gave its recommendations on December 31, 2010. The newspaper employees have expressed resentment at the delay in government and the labour ministry accepting its recommendations and making sure they were implemented.
General Motor Workers strike over wage agreement
Workers of General Motors India of the Halol Plant in Gujarat have been on strike since March 16, 2011. According to the Company management, there has been a production loss of over 700 cars as a result of the strike. The management has warned the striking workers to return immediately to work or face termination.
