Mohtram Jameel Bhai, ASA The tragedy is not this that the oil-hungry nations are pounding upon Libya but the power cum lusty hungry rulers of the Muslim world, including Gaddafi, who are the worst tyrants and in no way are willing to treat their own Muslim brothers and sisters as humans and are sticking to power like monster glue. Only Tunisia and Egypt masses succeeded to get rid of their Shylock despotic rulers. The rest are sticking to powers by hook or by crook. How to get rid of them, you have given no solution for that. Your lashing on the West is thus gone unproductive and a cry in the wilderness. In vacuum of a "solution-less" state of Ummah, the oil-hungry nations got the golden opportunity once more to come back and try their luck in the dirty waters of Muslim world being polluted by the Muslim kings, Dictators, Sheikhs of Gulf States ruling the Muslim lands for decades together and don't feel shy at all to leave the country and its hard pressed people for democratic process. We have to recast your analysis and find out the solution to get rid of these hopeless Gaddafies, Monarchies and Sheikhs who have begged the West to intervene. So you please turn your cannons to them, shoot them first, the West will run away from our lands immediately after that, Insha Allah. They are their stooges. They were looting the Muslim world with their connivance and will come back again to our lands only through this back door. Shamim Siddiqi According to international sources, the number of civilian casualties caused in Iraq by the US invasion is 864,531 and in Afghanistan 8,813. What right the countries that caused casualties of around 1 million people have to attack Libya to safeguard the lives of "civilians" there? The US has again shown that its only intention is to threaten Muslim World that it would not tolerate any opposition to its hegemonic designs. It has also again proved that the primary aims of the US remain an uninterrupted supply of oil and the protection of Israel. Whatever the "crimes" of Gaddafi, the US and its allies have no business to use every single opportunity to pound Muslim countries. They must rest assured that their crimes against Muslim World will ultimately boomerang on themselves – in one way or the other. The UN must also discuss what punishment should be given to the US and its allies for murdering nearly a million lives in Iraq. Javed Jamil
