Auditions for 'Hello Kolkata TV'
____________________________________________________________________________________________________
This event, one of the regular 'Hello Kolkata Talent Hunt Contests' exploring extra curriculum, has taken new dimensions as it is the Auditions Platform for 'Hello Kolkata TV', the latest dimension of the 3D Media House-'Hello Kolkata'. In addition to its English newspaper & website-www.hellokolkata.net, its in-house production house that formerly telecasts programs in various channels have now come of age to restructure & re-model itself as a complete TV Channel. The most innovative part of 'Hello Kolkata TV', is its multi-farious programs to be featured in not one, but 7 different languages- Bengali, Hindi, English, Punjabi, Urdu, Gujrati & Bhojpuri.
The aim of this new TV Media is to make it more accessible & viewer friendly. There are specific sections like IT, Lifestyle, Sports, Current Socio-Economic trends, Cultural Events & Product Launches. 'Hello Kolkata TV' is truly set to do justice to the notion of People's Voice, Eyes & Ears by making people of different languages speak their minds freely in a specially drafted section- 'And The Common Man Says' where the HK Reporters will meet & discuss various problems with people from all sections of the society. This section gives the opportunity to a 'Common Man' to say what he wants to, to express his ideas and opinions on anything and everything he wishes and wills. He can also voice concerns and grievances over issues, both personal and public, but that has to be substantiated with documents and must follow the pattern of logic. He can also give suggestions to make the city more likeable, more livable and more lovable.
We believe that this topic of discussion is truly close to heart of every Kolkatan who lives here or even outside but has some intimate link with this wonderfully endowed metropolis. We sincerely hope that this open-forum discussion will bring forth the expectations and frustrations that a common Kolkatan has for and against his beloved city, to urge himself and others to be truly part and parcel of the progressive maturation of the city and to make each one in his own capacity try to do what he can for the betterment of this ever-growing conurbation.
Let us make the city of Kolkata what we want it to be. Let us all say 'Hello Kolkata'……. __________________________________
