Cost Effective Way To Make Modern Canadian Democracy Genuine
I hear all the talk about lack of participation when it comes to
voting time on all three levels of Parliament. What is it like 2 % of
the entire country votes?? (not really funny) but anyway a clear
indication / reflection of Canadian lack of faith and loss of hope for
any kind of genuine Canadian leadership. [(I myself have concerns
about our leaders for selling out the country for personal gain. What
I mean is we keep going further into deficit and the governments have
even sold such things as hydro & liquor stores etc. to privatization
meanwhile Canada is still going further into deficit, the cost of
these privatizations are going through the roof for citizens to afford
once privatized. So we had revenue generators, they get sold yet we go
further into deficit while prices go through the roof once privatized.
By the next generation, they way things are going, the government will
have sold off all money making commodities so the entire governing
system will be funded out of our childrens own pockets via even higher
taxes then now. If we are going further into deficit even though these
commodities are being sold, then how in the future history of Canada
are our future generations suppose to pay off this deficit? People
will have no money to do anything and the entire economy crashes. Hey
do current leaders care about what happens after their term in office
because the way things are going it does not look positive that they
do accept another country offering buying out Canada itself to resolve
debt and our future generations live as slaves? Think. When it comes
to politicians these days (whoever hasn't lied before getting into /
once in office?) telling Canadians you care really carries little
clout. I suspect perhaps even another country has a hand in this
"appearing" scheme but anyway lets get to the restructuring for making
our current so called democracy into an actual genuine cost effective
democracy. (And no it's not move the government to Mexico.)]
It is really quite simply put:
Keep regular parliament MP's MPP's MLA'a Premier, Prime Minister
cabinet etc..
They conduct business similar to how it is done today (I could
probably refine it to make it more efficient but anyway)
Now for the genuine Democracy Part. Ok Personally, Not trying to dump
on the senate but listen up, Remove the Senate (Oh I know we have
heard of something like this in recent history but there is more and
this is key) With the money we save from not having to employ a Senate
we replace with Canadian tax payers.
Think, Parliament puts things through as usual, but instead of the
senate making the final call all Canadian tax payers make the final
call in votes. Hold these votes once or twice a year where everything
which is proposed during legislature gets voted upon by the entire
country / Province / city.
We are saving money and Canadian citizens play a key role in
finalizing the ideals of those we vote in.
Now that is a genuine democracy which is a far cry from this cheap
fabrication of a democracy we have now.
Make the Canadian web site forum for Canadian tax payer social
interaction on message boards to share ideas as a city / a country and
a province by entering your citizen code. You get your code for
activation for membership to the site upon completing the census form.
This way for the Canadian members portion of the site will be
exclusively for Canadian voters to sway each other on issues. Give the
option for using your own name or by going by alias on the site(I
myself will use my real name)
watch the numbers of voters in the future boom into action always
shooting for at least 99% (some people are bed ridden etc)
Watch Canadian grow happier knowing they played a "genuine" role in a
genuine government system.
Well, sure there are many little things / protocols / minor issues
etc. which need be addressed before enacting. (I'd be more than happy
to aid with this process)
Oh and don't make this something for the Senate to pass because of
course that would never happen because they got their huge pay checks
floating their boats, instead lets put this to the Canadian tax payers
to vote upon but first make sure Canadian tax payers clearly know
exactly what this is about via Canadian media.
Then we will be on the path to recovery with much less corruption.
There you have it in a nut shell.
Happy New Year
