नेताजी की विरासत से हमारी बेदखली फासीवाद की जीत है,यही हमारे सरदर्द का सबब है
राजनीतिक खेल से हमें मतलब नहीं,नेताजी भारतीय महादेश की सांस्कृति विविधता कोबनाये रखने के हक में थे,खास बात यही है
इसीलिए यह सवाल लाजिमी है कि इस महादेश के नेताजी की मृत्यु विमान हादसे से नहीं हुई तो सच क्या है और सच को छुपाने का मकसद क्या है?
ममता बनर्जी ने नेताजी से संबंधित जो 64 गोपनीय दस्तावेज जारी कर दिये हैं,उनसे बंटवारे के किस्से में और इस देश को बार बार बांटने लूटने बेचने के किस्सों में साजिशों की परतें अभी खुली नहीं है और जाहिर है कि कांग्रेस फिर कटघरे में है और फायदा कुल मिलाकर या दीदी को होना है या फिर मोदी को।कामरेडों को इस सिलिसिले कुछ भी कहने का मौका नहीं है और दीदी ने एक तीर से दो निशाने जरुर साध लिये हैं लेकिन इससे भारत में फासीवाद के हाथ मजबूद होंगे क्योंकि हम अब भी सच का सामना करने के लिए कहीं से भी तैयार नहीं हैं।
फासीवाद और नाजीवाद के तौर तरीके अपनाकर नेताजी जनसंहार की संस्कृति के झंडेवरदार जैसे नहीं हो सकते थे वैसे ही वैचारिक तौर पर उनका फासीवादी नाजीवादी होना असंभव था वे हिन्दी नहीं, हिंदुस्तानी को राष्ट्रभाषा बनाना चाहते थे और अखंड भारत के पहले राष्ट्राध्यक्ष थे और गुलाम मातृभूमि को आजाद करने के लिए जो आजाद हिंद फौज उनने बनायी,उसमें इस देश का मुकम्मल भूगोल था।इस कायदे से समझने की जरुरत है क्योंकि फासीवाद के मुकाबले इस वक्त इसी साझे चूल्हे को सुलगाने की सबसे ज्यादा जरुरत है।

कामरेडों ने जो ऐतिहासिक गलती देसरे विश्वयुद्ध के मुद्दे पर कि और फतवा दे डाला कि नेताजी गद्दार हैं,उसकी वजह राजनीतिक जो हो ,सबसे बड़ी वजह यह है कि इस महादेश की जनता और जमीन से उनका कोई रिश्ता नहीं रहा है।
बाबासाहेब को बहुत तरीके से मालूम था कि भारतीयजनता की गुलामी के लिए कम्युनिज्म से बेहतर कोई दूसरा रास्ता नहीं है और इसी मंजिल को हासिल करने के लिए उनने सबसे पहले ब्रिटिश सरकार के कानून मंत्री बनते ही मेहनतकशों के हक हकूक की गारंटी देने वाले कानून बना दिये।
भारत में ट्रेड यूनियन आंदोलन में अय्यंकाली की ऐतिहासिक भूमिका को कभी न मानने वाले कामरेडों से उम्मीद नहीं है कि वे मानें कि भारत में ट्रेडयूनियन का हक दिवलाने वाले भी बाबासाहोब थे और तमाम ट्रेडयूनियनों पर काबिज होने के बावजूद कामरेड न मेहनतकशों के हक हकूक के लिए खड़े हो सके और न ट्रे़ड यूनियन आंदोलन को बचा सके।
बाबासाबहेब न अस्मिता आंदोलन से राजनीति की शुरुआत नहीं की।उनने वर्कर्स पार्टी बनायी और रिपब्लिकन पार्टी तो बहुत बाद में बनायी।
बाबासाहेब के साथ खड़े नहीं हुए कामरेड और जाति उन्मूलन के एजंडे के तहत जो वर्गीय ध्रूवीकरण की दिशा खोल गये बाबासाहेब, उसे कतई तरजीह नहीं दी कामरेडों ने वरना आज जांत पांत और धर्म के नाम मुल्क का इसतरह लगातार लगातर बंटवारा न होता और न फासिज्म हमारा मजहब होता और न यह महादेश बाजार होता।
जो बाबासाहोब को न समझे वे नेताजी को कैसे समझते,यह सवाल अब खड़ा है।
बाबासाहेब को कम्युनिज्म से शिकायत न थी और जाति उन्मूलन का उनका एजंडा इस महादेश के लिए कम्युनिस्ट मेनिफेस्टो से कम नहीं था।
बाबासाहेब लड़ रहे थे बहुजनों की जीवन के हर क्षेत्र में नुमाइंदगी के लिए।बाबासाहेब लड़ रहे थे संसाधनों के समान बंटवारे के लिए।
समता और न्याय के लिए।बाबासाहेब का एजंडा था वर्गीयझ्रूवीकरण का और न लाल और न नील झंडे वालों ने बाबासाहेब के दिलोदिमाग को सही तरीके से समझा।
इसी ढुलमुल रवैये का नतीजा अब कामरेडों को भुगतना ही होगा।

भले ही नेताजी की 1945 में मौत नहीं हुई और भले ही वे 1945 से बाद भी जीवित रहे।अब वक्त इतना बीत गया है कि जिंदा या मर्दा नेताजी इस महादेश में जो हो गया है इस दरम्यान उसे पलट नहीं सकते।हमारे बहस का मुद्दा यह नहीं है और न यह हमारे सरदर्द का सबब है।
मुश्किल यह है कि भारत में फासिज्म की जो सुनामी है ,उसमें सेकुलर डेमोक्रोट नेताजी की विरासत समाहित होने जा रही है और उस विरासत पर अंबेडकरवादी अंबेडकर को खो चुके तो खाक कोई दावा पेश करेंगे और बंगाल में तो क्या बाकी देश में भी नेताजी की भारतीय सांस्कृतिक विविधता बनाये रखने की विरासत पर चरचा करने की हालत में भी कहीं नहीं हैं कामरेड।
सच लेकिन यह है और उपलब्ध दस्तावेजों से साफ है कि भारत की आजादी के लिए नेकताजी चले तो थे अमेरिकी ब्रिटिश मित्रशक्ति समूह के दुश्मन हिटलर से मुलाकात करने लेकिन वे किसी भी सूरत में फासिस्ट थे नहीं।उनके लिए भारत के मुसलमान,ईसाई,बौद्ध और सिख जैन पारसी तमाम समुदायों के लोग उतने ही प्यारे थे जितने कि बहसंख्य हिंदू।

थोड़ा ध्यान से देखे तो इतिहास गवाह है कि हिटलर के साथ समझौता तो स्टालिन ने भी किया था वैश्विक पूंजी के खिलाफ मोर्चाबंदी के लिए।फिर आप स्टालिन को अगर फासीवादी और नाजीवादी नहीं मानते,तो नेताजी को गद्दार कैसे कह सकते हैं।
जैसे स्टालिन की हिटलर से पटी नही और हिटलर ने सोवियत संघ पर हमला भी बोल दिया।
उसीतरह नेताजी और हिटलर की भी बनी नहीं और नेताजी की मुहिम और मिशन को हिटलर ने भी कोई मान्यता नहीं दी सिवाय इसके कि हिटलर ने नेताजी को जर्मनी से सही सलामत एशिया निकलने की इजाजत दी और करीने से देखें तो इसमें भी जर्मनी में उनकी राजनीतिक सहयोगी जो बाद में उनकी पत्नी भी बनी,उन इमिली शेंके का कृतित्व बहुत ज्यादा है और इसे हम भारतीयन कायदे से जानते हैं और न मानते हैं।
दूसरे विश्वयुद्ध के दस्तावेजों को कायदे से देखा जाये तो नेताजी तो हिंदुस्तान की आजादी के लिए लड़ रहे थे और भारतीय सरहद में दाखिले के लिए सबसे पहले उनने महात्मा गांधी को देश का पहला नागरिक मानते हुए उनसे इजाजत भी मांग ली थी,लेकिन किसी भी तरीके से मुल्क के बंटवारे की कीमत पर सत्ता पर काबिज होने की तमन्ना लेकर देश के भीतर जो गद्दार सियासत और मजहब के मार्फत मुल्क का बंटवारा कर रहे थे,उनने न नेताजी और न आजाद हिंद फौज का कोई समर्थन किया और हमेशा दोनों को बदनाम किया।उस पांत में हमारे कमरेड कैसे शामिल हो गये,अब इसका जबाव देन होगा।
नेताजी हमारे लिए राष्ट्रनेता और आजादी के सिपाही ही न थे। नेताजी की वजह से नैनीताल की तराई में सिख,पंजाबी,बंगाली शरणार्थियों में अजब गजब का अपनापा रहा है।
बसंतीपुर में उत्तराखंड का आधिकारिक नेताजी जयंती मनायी जाती है और दूर दराज के भूले बिसरे स्वतंत्रता सेनानी और नेताजी के साथी और आजाद हिंद फौज के लड़ाके एक साथ जमा होकर मुल्क को फिर अखंड भारत बना देते हैं हर साल।
हमारे घर शहीदे आजम भगतसिंह की मां भी पधार चुकी हैं औ वे मेरे पिता को देखकर कहती थीं कि एकदम बटुकेश्वर दत्त जैसे लगते हो।दूसरे तमाम स्वतंत्रताता सेनानी आते जाते रहे हैं और नेताजी को साठ सत्तर के दशक में जीवित मानने वाले लोग भी नेताजी के लिखे दस्तावेजों और किताबों के साथ,उस महायुद्ध के इतिहास के साथ और नेताजी से संबंधित तमाम कतरनों के साथ बसंतीपुर में हमारी झोपड़ियों में ढहरते रहे हैं और मेरा बचपन उनके सान्निध्य में बीता रहा है।
तराई के तमाम शरणार्थी मानते रहे हैं कि नेताजी जिंदा होते और भारत में होते तो भारत का बंटवारा न होता।
आज जो बातें दस्तावेजों के खुलासे से सामने आ रही हैं,उन्हें हम बचपन से बंटवारे के जख्मों के साथ जी रहे थे।बंटवारे के शिकार तमाम लोग।बसंतीपुर में उस विरासत की नजीर देखना चाहे तो पधारे किसी भी नेताजी जयंती के मौके पर और वहीं खड़े अंदाजा लगाइये कि नेताजी को फासीवाद और नाजीवाद से जोड़कर हमने कितना बड़ा गुनाह कर दिया है कि आज नेताजी की धर्म निरपेक्ष लोकतांत्रिक विरासत और उनकी और आजाद हिंद की बेमिसाल देसभक्ति को अंध राष्ट्रवाद में तब्दील होने का मौका हमने कैसे बना दिया है।
यह भी बहस का विषय है कि सिंगापुर और रंगून में आजाद हिंद फौज खड़ी करके नेताजी ने जो तिरंगा पहनाया,उसमें नेताजी ने जापान का कितना इस्तेमाल किया और जापान ने उनका इस्तमेाल करते हुए कैसे अंडमान भी फतह कर लिया।
सच जो भी हो आजाद हिंद के चरित्र और इतिहास की प्रासंगिकता अब सबसे ज्यादा है जब पुराने दस्तावेजों के खुलासे के साथ कांग्रेस भी कटघरे में है और कामरेड भी कटघरे में है।
मुझे कोई शक नहीं है कि नेताजी की विरासत से हमारी बेदखली फासीवाद की जीत है,यही हमारे सरदर्द का सबब है।

Grandson Wants Today's Political Work To Mirror Bose's Commitment When Mamata Banerjee was announcing the declassification of the 64 Netaji files in Kolkata, far away in Munich 40-something Peter Arun Pfaff wore a smile.As a journalist with academic training in history and politics, this news was significant for Pfaff. But it held a lot more relevance considering he is the grandson of Subhas Chandra Bose. Pfaff has closely followed the turn of events regarding the controversies surround ing his grandfather's disappearance. Speaking to TOI from Munich, Pfaff said, "I'm happy the files were declassified and opened to the people of India. Hopefully , we will find the facts to end the controversies about his death and focus on his political ideas. I want Netaji's life and work to inspire future generations to fight for the cause of diversity of the nation. This is a na tional question." In Munich, Pfaff has been busy with his commitments as a journalist. The on-going refugee crisis has left an impact in Munich too, what with 10,000 refugees coming in daily . However, with the borders being closed, Friday was a relaxed day for him at work. As the events unfolded in Kolkata, Pfaff kept an eye on the declassification news. He spoke about his Kolkata connections and how he had come to the city several times over. The last time he came to Kolkata was on Netaji's 115th birth anniversary on January 23, 2012. "I am aware of India's sentiments regarding my grandfather. My grandmother (Emilie Schenkl) had brought my mother (Anita) and me up. When I was a child, I was never taught to believe that I was special because of my legacy . Rather, my grandmother always insisted that I had a special duty to live up to the spirit that Netaji stood for. I feel a sense of solidarity towards the INA fighters," he said. Pfaff, however, refused to comment on evidences of snooping in the files since he had personally not gone through them. That Emilie was a private person is a fact that has been oft-repeated. Were there stories of Netaji that his grandmother narrated to him during his childhood? "She didn't speak much.She had a private space that we respected. My grandmother was Netaji's comrade. She helped him with political work in exile and was a source of inspiration," he added. Pfaff requested that he not be asked to comment on `political games' that could have influenced the decision to declassify the files. On being asked whether politics runs in his blood, he said, "My mother has done political work. She has been the vice-mayor of the city she lived in. My father (Martin Pfaff) was in the Bundestag. I too do my political work but more as an activist. We have been taught to follow Netaji's principles to serve mankind. He is an example for us to understand how to dedicate one's life for the people." According to him, Sub has Chandra Bose has always respected the diversity of the Indian society . "Netaji was always looking towards India's development. That is a long process. I hope the declassification of the files can inspire Indians to work towards imbibing the spirit of unity . They should realize that the seriousness and commitment with which my grandfather served the Indian nation needs to be translated into the work that's being done for India today," Pfaff said. According to him, historians can do the work of finding nuances of what happened in the past. Looking forward to a visit to India next year, Pfaff said, "We should not get lost in focussing on what happened in the past. Rather, we need to look at the future. With my academic training in history ,I know there can never be any absolute truth in files. They can only give an idea of the truth. But what's most important is to ensure that these files inspire people to do good political work today .That's important for a democracy . The fight for true freedom is still not over." |

"Mystery prevails in Calcutta at the sudden disappearance last night of Mr Subhas Chandra Bose from his room where he had been confined since his release from jail in the first week of December. The additional chief presidency magistrate...has issued a warrant for his arrest. For the last few days Mr Bose was observing strict silence and had not been seeing anybody and he had been spending time in religious practices. As desired by Mr Bose, no member of his family entered his room throughout Saturday, nor did he send for anyone on that day. When the Japanese were fighting around Imphal in March 1944, it was repeatedly stated by Japanese broadcasts that the Azad Hindustan Army with Bose at its head, was about to strike on Indian soil.First news of the intended formation of such an army came to India in 1942, when Bose was stated to have gone over to the Japanese, and stated to be broadcasting from Tokio Radio."

Was Netaji's "death" in the Taihoku air crash, a culmination of many more crash theories that started making their appearance from 1942 onwards? At least intelligence files that were de-classified on Friday clearly indicate tha rumours regarding Netaji's death in air crashes ap peared multiple times between 42 and 44 till the "fi nal crash" on August 18, 1945.
The first file suggests that in March 1942 Netaji died in an air crash. An intelligence agent (T.L. 103), reported on June 6, 1942 that the Madaripur Jugantar Party pos sessed a transmitting set which was used by the party members to talk directly with Subhas Bose in Bangkok immediately af ter hearing the news of the crash.
The entries in this file talk in detai about existence of special transmitters that were used to catch "enemy broad casts" from Axis radio streamed mainly om Berlin, Saigon, Tokyo and Bangkok from Berlin, Saigon, Tokyo and Bangkok Entries suggest that Netaji might have been in Bangkok at that time to attend the Indian Inde pendence Conference.
An entry on May 17 in the file marked as "secret" says, "It is reported from Bang kok that in view of the sudden collapse of the British forces in Burma, the leaders of several organizations in East Asia, fighting for India's freedom, will soon hold a conference in Bangkok." An other entry zeroes in on a Netaji aide, Jathedar Mohan Singh in Kolkata who used to derive a lot of informa tion on Netaji from Axis Radio.
The entry reads thus: "Singh's reference to the prospective attendance of Subhas Bose at the the conference is based on the inference that the Indian National Council (under whose auspices the Bangkok conference was to be held) had been formed under Subhas Bose's guidance and inspira tion. The entry also mentions the rumour that Subhas Bose had left Europe for the Far East. It goes on to warn that Singh might have been getting his information through "other channels" and hat "remains a live issue".
The file is replete with entries about wireless transmissions and secret codes that were created to receive Axis transmissions and both way communication. The ntelligence files repeatedly mention Jatin Bhattachar ee in this context. His notebook and transmitter were seized for the codes that he had recorded. These were decoded by police radio experts later who concluded that a parallel "channel of communication" existed between ndia and enemy-occupied countries.
An entry by W Mack Wright, I.P . (equivalent to IPS), on July 17, 1942, reads, "Hindusthan Standard discredited the news of the death of Subhas Chandra Bose in an air crash. In the editorial column of its issue of Monday March 30th, 1942, that appeared in heavy print, the ollowing notice appeared : `Reuter' announces the death of Sri Subhas Chandra on information gathered from Lyons and Vichy Radios. We refuse to write an obituary notice. Long Live Sri Subhas Chandra!" In a much later entry in file No. 64, the fact that Netaji's family quashed the theory of yet another air crash on October 23, 1944 , has been mentioned. Netaji's nephew, Sisir Bose was recorded to have been question ng the purported crash at Taipei, Formosa on that day .The entry mentions that Sisir Bose asked Yotori Yo Ko Bori of the Kyode News Service, Tokyo, to investigate f any crash had happened that day at all.
