Joint Statement on Community Forestry Campaign by Nepal and India

Initiative of

The Federation of Community Forestry Users' Nepal (FECOFUN),
 Community-based Forestry Supporters' Network Nepal (COFSUN),
The Himalayan Grassroots Women's Natural Resource Management Association (HIMAWANTI) 
SAAPE (South Asian Alliance for Poverty Eradication) 
and All India Union of Forest Working People (AIUFWP)


Dear all,

It's our pleasure to share this information among you. We, leading community forestry organizations of Nepal and India met in FECOFUN headquarter in Bhaktapur, Kathmandu, Nepal on 29th July 2013 and discussed about the future strategy of community forestry movement in the South Asian region. The meeting discussed the various aspects of this critical issue and came out with joint statement on "Community Forest Governance".

We aspect your solidarity and collaboration on this initiation of community forestry campaign.
