Three US-led troops killed in Afghanistan 13 Mar 2011 Separate militant bomb attacks and explosions have killed at least three US-led foreign troops and wounded several others in Afghanistan. NATO says one soldier died in a bomb attack in the central province of Daykundi. The provincial Governor Qurban Ali Oruzgani said that the blast occurred in the Kajran district. Two NATO troops were killed separately in southern and eastern Afghanistan.

 

14 killed, 40 wounded in Iraq's violence 15 Mar 2011 A total of 14 people were killed and 40 others wounded on Monday in bomb and gunfire attacks in central and eastern Iraq, the Iraqi police said. The deadliest incident occurred in Iraq's eastern province of Diyala early in the morning, when a suicide bomber rammed his explosive-laden vehicle into the entrance of the local government compound in the town of Kan'an, some 20 km east of the provincial capital city of Baquba.

 

9 Iraqi soldiers killed in bomb attack 14 Mar 2011 A bomb attack in Iraq's eastern Diyala province has claimed the lives of nine Iraqi soldiers and injured fourteen others, security officials say.
