Jamaat-e-Islami declares nationwide demonstration on Moday demanding release of the leaders including Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid before Ramadan

Acting Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued the following statement of 6th June, 2015 declaring peaceful demonstration on 8th June, Monday demanding the release of all the top leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami including its Secretary General and former Social Welfare Minister Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid.
"The government has kept the top leaders of of Jamaat-e-Islami including its Secretary Gene ral and former Social Welfare Minister Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid behind the bar for 5 years unlawfully. They have arranged a farce in the name of trial on the basis of false and baseless charges in connection with so called crimes against humanity. Conspiracies have been made to implicate Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid by producing false and ruling party loyal witnesses. The countrymen have protested against this conspiracy of killing an innocent leader democratically and peacefully. The month of holy Ramadan is going to start from 18th June next. Ahead of this sacred month, we are demanding the the release of all the top leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami including its Secretary General and former Social Welfare Minister Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid.

I am declaring nationwide demonstration on 8th June, Monday protesting against the state backed terrorism, repression of the government and the conspiracy of killing the dissident leaders and demanding the release of all the top leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami including its Secretary General and former Social Welfare Minister Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid.
I am calling all the wing organizations of Jamaat-e-Islami and seeking the assistance of the countrymen to observe the demonstration on 8th June

সরকারের দায়ের করা মিথ্যা মামলা দলীয় লোকদের দ্বারা সাজানো সাক্ষী দিয়ে তাকে ফাঁসানোর চেষ্টা করা হচ্ছে -ডাঃ শফিকুর রহমান

জামায়াতে ইসলামীর সেক্রেটারি জেনারেল ও সাবেক মন্ত্রী আলী আহসান মোহাম্মাদ মুজাহিদসহ জামায়াতের শীর্ষ নেতৃবৃন্দকে আসন্ন পবিত্র রমযানের পূর্বেই মুক্তি প্রদানের দাবিতে আগামীকাল সোমবার দেশব্যাপী শান্তিপূর্ণ বিক্ষোভ কর্মসূচি ঘোষণা করেছে জামায়াতে ইসলামীর ভারপ্রাপ্ত সেক্রেটারি জেনারেল ডাঃ শফিকুর রহমান গতকাল শনিবার। 
এক বিবৃতিতে তিনি বলেন, সরকার বাংলাদেশ জামায়াতে ইসলামীর সেক্রেটারি জেনারেল আলী আহসান মোহাম্মাদ মুজাহিদসহ শীর্ষ নেতৃবৃন্দকে দীর্ঘ ৫ বছর যাবত অন্যায়ভাবে কারাগারে আটক করে রেখেছে। রাজনৈতিক প্রতিহিংসা চরিতার্থ করার জন্য কথিত মানবতাবিরোধী অপরাধে মিথ্যা, বায়বীয়, কাল্পনিক ও সাজানো অভিযোগের ভিত্তিতে সরকার বিচারের নামে প্রহসনের আয়োজন করে জামায়াত নেতৃবৃন্দকে একে একে হত্যা করছে। সরকারের দায়ের করা মিথ্যা মামলা দলীয় লোকদের দ্বারা সাজানো সাক্ষী দিয়ে আলী আহসান মোহাম্মাদ মুজাহিদকে ফাঁসানোর চেষ্টা করা হচ্ছে। দেশের জনগণ সরকারের এ ষড়যন্ত্র ও পরিকল্পিত হত্যাকা-ের বিরুদ্ধে গণতান্ত্রিক উপায়ে শান্তিপূর্ণভাবে প্রতিবাদ জানিয়েছে। তিনি বলেন, আগামী ১৮ জুন থেকে পবিত্র মাহে রমযান। রহমত, বরকত ও মাগফিরাতের মাস রমযান শুরুর পূর্বেই তিনি আলী আহসান মোহাম্মাদ মুজাহিদসহ শীর্ষ নেতৃবৃন্দের মুক্তি দাবি করেন।  
রাষ্ট্রীয় সন্ত্রাস, সরকারের জুলুম-নির্যাতন ও পরিকল্পিত হত্যার ষড়যন্ত্রের প্রতিবাদে এবং আলী আহসান মোহাম্মাদ মুজাহিদসহ শীর্ষ নেতৃবৃন্দের রমযানের পূর্বেই মুক্তির দাবিতে তিনি আগামীকাল সোমবার দেশব্যাপী শান্তিপূর্ণ বিক্ষোভ কর্মসূচি ঘোষণা করেন। ঘোষিত এ বিক্ষোভ কর্মসূচি শান্তিপূর্ণভাবে সফল করার জন্য তিনি জামায়াতে ইসলামীর সকল শাখার প্রতি আহ্বান জানান এবং দেশবাসীর সহযোগিতা কামনা করেন।
