Join me in telling the Assam Police Chief to arrest the main accused of molestation Sign My Petition Palash - I was shocked after watching a video of 20 men molesting and stripping a teenage girl after she walked out of a bar in Guwahati. Many were just spectators.  This happened in front of a news channel camera crew, on one of the most secure streets of Guwahati, a mile away from the state secretariat. Only 12 men were identified by the Police, through the video. Being a woman from Guwahati, it gives me sleepless nights when I put myself in her shoes. That's why I started a petition on Change.org asking Assam police chief, J N Chaudhury to arrest all 12 of the accused and bring reformations in the system to protect women. The young girl was alone and no one came to her help even as she was abused, stripped and continuously assaulted. Latest reports tell us that there were cigarette burns found on the victim. Eleven out of twelve culprits were arrested hours after Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi's 48-hour deadline to nab the culprits ended. This happened due to immense pubic pressure. But, Amar Jyoti Kalita the main accused is still absconding.  We need to put pressure on Assam police chief, J N Chaudhury to arrest all the accused in the video and bring reformations in state to protect women.  Sign my petition telling Assam Police Chief to arrest all the men identified in the group of molesters and create a safer Assam for women.
