Reliance in 10 Yrs Commissioned 600MW of 35,000 MW Projects

Reliance in 10 Yrs Commissioned 600MW of 35,000 MW Projects (Revised)

(Final Draft Not Attaching Pdf files Already Mailed)

To,
Yashwant Sinha,
ysinha2005@hotmail.com

Dear Yashwant Sinha ji,

I was surprised to see you on TV again incharge of Dirty Business department for BJP RSS objecting to Manmohan Singh – Gilani talks by your logic we should not talk to Modi and BJP for indulging in rioting and communal activity.

Here I am reminding you that while Kasab and others are low level terrorism in India but BJP exploded Nuclear Bombs threatening Pakistan that could have escalated to Nuclear War spreading nuclear radiation all across planet earth mainly affecting over billion of our population and destroying Indus Civilization.

Here I am focusing on your Party's promotion of scoundrels during your 6 years of JOKER rule.

I have attached two pdf documents of BSES just before RIL take over.

BSES in 2000-01 purchased electricity worth Rs.1005 crores and I found out of MERC case at Rs.1.77 per unit (NTPC generation cost then was 0.93p per unit) or 568 crore units, BSES own generation at Dahanu was 362 crore units – so availability was 930 crore units but BSES declared sales of 541 crore units. On sale of 541 crore units input energy required to cover 12% T&D losses, 3% HT losses, auxiliary losses of 6% was around 630 crore units – so clearly BSES UNDER DECLARED 300 crore units sales of electricity that delivered to Industries would be worth Rs.1,800 crores.

This is over and above Profits Declared by BSES that year was Rs.321 crores, so gross LOOT was Rs.2121 crores. Considering NTPC would have supplied 541 crore units at under Rs.800 crores, add Staff cost of Rs.122 crores, Dividend of Rs.60 crores and Rs.112 crores for O&M adds up to Rs.1100 crores but Energy Sales was Rs.2158 crores.

All this adds up to Rs.3000 crores annual loot.

One can well imagine the Loot Indulged in by RV Shahi who was inducted as Secretary Power by your then government for his Brilliant Power Engineering. He ensured loot and plunder but no progress.

BSES was handed over to RIL in belief only a super scoundrel could handle such loot.

Here in following two documents you can see NTPC requires just 40 hectares (100 acres) of land for 1000MW gas based power plant at Bawana but Anil Ambani wanted 2500 acres of cheaply acquired farmers land at Dadri for 3500MW that was revised to 8000MW and even reported 10,000MW gas power station requiring 350 acres to 1000 acres but nothing materialized.

http://news.outlookindia.com/items.aspx?artid=673042
3500MW > 8000MW > 10,000 MW
About 2,500 acres of land were acquired by the state government from the farmers for the project. <> The High Court in its verdict had said "all subsequent proceedings consequent to the notification of February 11, 2004 are quashed".

'According to the 16th Electric Power Survey conducted by the Union Power Ministry,
about 1,07,000 MW of additional generation capacity would be needed during the period
2002-12 to meet the growing requirement of power.' Chairman RV Shahi.

Reliance had commissioned just 600 MW out of 35,000 MW projects licensed.

In following also you can see Reliance acquired Mining Leases also and was expected to produce 95 million tones of Coal annually – nothing is produced till date.

More than $100b has been released for Reliance for Energy Sector – in next message you will find RIL has drilled around 28 wells when it has exploration license for 29 blocks. Not even one well per block since 1999.

I know on the eve of 2004 elections YOU CONSPIRED to Split & Sell NTPC to Ambanis – I led the Campaign.

Your and your party's conduct is Most Disgraceful and treacherous.

I hope you shall respond positively and do the needful to Hang The Big Looters.

The first phase of the 1200 MW Rosa project located at Shahjahanpur in Uttar Pradesh, commenced generation of power in December 2009, and has since started sale of power to consumers. This is a significant milestone for Reliance Power, marking its transition from a project development Company to a Company with operating assets.

http://www.reliancepower.co.in/about_us/company_profile.htm
The power projects are going to be diverse in terms of geographic location, fuel type, fuel source and off-take, and each project is planned to be strategically located near an available fuel supply or load centre. The company has 600 MW of operational power generation assets. The projects under development include seven coal-fired projects to be fueled by reserves from captive mines and supplies from India and elsewhere: two gas-fired projects to be fueled primarily by reserves from the Krishna Godavari Basin (the "KG Basin") off India's east coast:and seven hydroelectric projects, six of them in Arunachal Pradesh and one in Uttarakhand.

Reliance intends to pursue future opportunities in the power sector through its interests in BSES Ltd. (BSES).

BSES, India's premier utility company, is engaged in the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity. BSES also provides services in electrical contracting, engineering, procurement and construction contracts.

BSES is ranked amongst India's top 20 private sector companies in terms of net profits, and amongst the top 30-35 private sector companies, on all other financial parameters. BSES reported sales of Rs. 2,783 crores (US$ 570 million) for 2001-02, with net profits of Rs. 281 crores (US$ 58 million).

BSES, on its own, and through its subsidiaries/joint venture companies, has power generation capacity of around 885 MW.

Operational projects
1. Rosa Phase 1, a 600 MW coal-based power project in Uttar Pradesh

The successful commissioning of the second 300 MW unit of Rosa Phase 1 in June 2010 marked the commencement of operations of the entire 600 MW of the project. This is the first operational project of the company. However, fuel
supply and evacuation constraints resulted in a lower Plant Load Factor (PLF) during the first nine months of the financial year 2010-11. However, with the resolution of the fuel supply and evacuation problems the plant has been operating very efficiently and has been consistently operating at over 100 per cent PLF. During the last quarter of the financial year the plant achieved a PLF of over 87 per cent.

Director's Report - Business Operations Page 12

The Company is in the business of setting up and operating power projects and in the development of coal mines associated with such projects. The Company has identified a large portfolio of power projects of more than 35,000 MW and is also developing coal mines with a potential to produce over 95 million tonnes
of coal per annum (MTPA). Of the power projects which the Company is developing 600 MW are already operational while the balance capacities are under various stages of development.

The portfolio of projects which the Company is developing is diversified with regard to location, fuel and off-take. The projects are spread across various states in India and its coal mines are also located in Indonesia. A major portion of the power generating capacity would be based on coal as the primary fuel. The others include gas based power projects, hydro-electric power projects and power projects based on renewable energy resources such as solar and wind.
